How can I obtain a tax identification number (AFM)?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1301\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1301\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To obtain a tax identification number, you will need the following documents:<\/span>\n<ol>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Photocopy of a valid passport or a recognized travel document.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proof of legal residence, such as Visa D1.1, entry stamp in your passport upon arrival in Greece, or a valid residence permit.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Officially translated birth certificate for minors of foreign nationality.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/issu-el.uoa.gr\/fileadmin\/depts\/uoa.gr\/issu\/uploads\/ypefthyni-dilosi-nomou-105-n-1599-86-agglika.docx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solemn declaration<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by a Greek citizen agreeing to act as your tax representative. This declaration must bear the original signature, certified by any authority, a Citizens Service Center, or issued from gov.gr.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solemn declaration containing your personal information (name, surname, father&#8217;s and mother&#8217;s name, date and place of birth, current address, and email) with your original signature, certified by any authority or a Citizens Service Center, to appoint a Greek citizen as your tax representative in Greece. A notarized document is also accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marriage\/civil partnership certificate if applicable.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/issu-el.uoa.gr\/fileadmin\/depts\/uoa.gr\/issu\/uploads\/APPLICATION_FOR_TAX_REGISTRATION_NUMBER.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An application form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\nThere are two ways to obtain your TIN number (AFM):\n<ol>\n \t<li>Application by the interested party:\n<ol>\n \t<li aria-level=\"1\">Submit your application through the digital portal myAADE (<a href=\"https:\/\/www1.aade.gr\/gsisapps5\/myaade\/#!\/arxiki\">myaade.gov.gr<\/a>) \/ TIN number\u00a0(AFM) &amp; Key Number.<\/li>\n \t<li aria-level=\"1\">Choose the method of identification, either via video call to the myAADElive service or by physical presence with an appointment at the Tax Office.<\/li>\n \t<li aria-level=\"1\">The TIN number\u00a0(AFM) and the Key Number will be sent by email to the address provided.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>Application by a tax representative:\n<ol>\n \t<li aria-level=\"1\">The representative submits the application using their own codes on the digital portal myAADE \/ TIN number\u00a0(AFM) &amp; Key Number.<\/li>\n \t<li aria-level=\"1\">After confirmation of application details and authorization (in the case of authorized representation) by an AADE employee, a TIN number\u00a0(AFM) and Key Code are issued.
